London Attractions
The capital of the United Kingdom of Great Britain
and Northern Ireland, London is the centre of finance, entertainment and
culture for all of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, with
both The Queen and Prime Minister residing in residences in what is one
of the largest cities in Europe.
Visiting this city means taking in many world famous landmarks, from the
clock tower that houses Big Ben, to the Houses of Parliament, Buckingham
Palace, the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, Westminster Abbey, the O2 and
the tower of Canary Warf. These locations make up what everyone is
familiar with, as London has appeared in a great range of movies and
television programmes, from the James Bond series of movies to most of
the television shows that appear on British screens.
The capital is also home to many of the UK’s listed companies, making
London one of the world’s biggest and important financial centres and
cementing its status as a global city.
Whilst the variety of architecture on display will keep any visitors
happy, London also boasts an array of parks and shops, with many big
high street names found on Oxford Street and plenty to find and enjoy
along the world famous River Thames.
